Debiutancki album totalnie zajebistego zespołu z Singapuru. Oldskulowy maniakalny death metal w starym sprawdzonym stylu. 8 mocarnych utworów, które fani starego CANNIBAL CORPSE, MORBID ANGEL, UNLEASHED, CANCER czy VADER będą po prostu uwielbiać!
Recenzja z Forbidden Magazine:
The crackle of burning bodies…the clash of cold steel…and the screams of the innocent. These are the horrors that invoke ‘Apocalyptic Anti-Human Annihilation’, the full length monstrosity from Singapore’s Soul Devour. Featuring members of Adokhsiny, Cardiac Necropsy and Dusk, Soul Devour have waged a war against posers and pussies everywhere with this furious and unforgiving release on Infernal Kaos Productions.
After the dying screams of the intro fade away, Soul Devour launch into the crushing track ‘Exterminated Haskalah’, punishing the listener with blasting death metal aggression that brings you back to the glory days of death…think back…long before a haircut could make one ‘brootal’. I don’t know how old these fuckers are but they don’t mess around for one minute with this release. The pummeling fists of ‘Heretic Holocaust’ whip your ass in three and a half flat just before ‘Rise of the Anti-Christ’ lays your broken body upon the altar of death. The same goes for ‘Soul Devour’…a violent onslaught complete with neck-snapping shifts in rhythm, dual disemboweled vocals and enough killer guitar work to make you feel like a chump for not practicing.
My only bitch about this album, since the band make it so apparent as to their worship of Morbid Angel, is how much they sound similar at times. I can’t really complain, MA set the fucking standard and just about everyone has borrowed from them at one point or another…all artists, no matter what medium, do it…its just some are better at hiding it than others. The rhythm guitars crush in true death metal fashion (think Blessed Are the Sick), the lead guitars are appropriate and their cover of ‘Dominate’ closes out ‘Apocalytic…’ in noble fashion.
If there is anything left of your carcass after this album is over, which is too soon, clocking in at only 28 minutes, play it again until you are completely ‘Annihilated’!
